Born in 1994 in Nagoya, Japan, MONA began dancing at the age of five after being encouraged by her mother, who saw her dancing along to a music program. Growing up in a studio focused on dance contests, she went on to become the representative for the Tokai region in elementary school and achieved a national championship in high school, establishing herself as a renowned dancer in the Tokai region.
In 2019, MONA relocated to Tokyo and expanded her dance career as a choreographer, a backup dancer for artists, and a stage performer, quickly rising to national fame with her innate talent. She has choreographed for world-famous artists such as TWICE and NAYEON, as well as domestic acts like AI, Awich, JP THE WAVY, LIL LEAGUE from EXILE TRIBE, &TEAM, Mori Calliope, ONE OK ROCK, ¥ellow bucks, An Unyuuri, among others, appearing in their live performances and music videos, solidifying her reputation as a top dancer receiving continuous attention and offers.
Her choreography for NAYEON (TWICE)’s "POP!" became a global sensation, sparking the "POP! Challenge" on TikTok, loved by people of all ages and dance backgrounds. In 2022, she was selected as a tour dancer for AI and later became the chief choreographer for AI's dances, songs, and tours, showcasing her growing influence and expertise in the industry.
In 2023, MONA was entrusted with choreographing and supervising dance for Awich's first arena solo concert, "Queendom - THE UNION -," where she also performed as a dancer alongside seven others, marking her debut as the main choreographer. This success earned her praise from Awich and positioned dance as an essential part of future performances. She also contributed as a dancer supervisor for JP THE WAVY, bridging the gap between the hip-hop, K-pop, and J-pop music and dance scenes.
With her infectious energy and captivating smile through dance, MONA has attracted a growing fanbase, leading to collaborations with various companies. Notably, in 2023, she was entrusted with overseeing the dance for DIESEL's nationwide tour, which was a massive success, leading to her continued involvement in the following year's event in 2024.
Pushing boundaries and transcending genres, MONA has been a pioneer in connecting the dance and music scenes, inspiring a nationwide impact, as seen in her role as the producer of the dance audition project "BREAKTHROUGH (supported by JORDAN)" in collaboration with atmos pink in 2023, which garnered over 400 applications from across the country, influencing the dance community with her innovative vision.
